Adding Events to the Home Screen of Your App

Once you create at least one Event or an Event Series, you can add an Events button to the Home Screen of your app.

Adding an Event Button to your Home Screen or Side Menu

After you have created an Event or an Event Series the next step is to add an Event button to the Home Screen or Side Menu of your app.
  1. Click Home Screen on the Quick Start screen in the App Manager


  2. Click the green (+) at the top of the screen to the right of Content Items


  3. Click 'Link to an App Page'


  4. Click on the App Page dropdown and choose Events


  5. The Event Item dropdown will default to All Events. This option will show all of the events you have created (that are Active) under your Event button.



    If you want to only show certain Events you can choose a specific Tag (which will show all the events with that Tag) or you can choose just one specific Event (ex. you have a large Music Festival coming up and you want a button specifically for that event)

    You can have a main Events button that shows all of your events and then also create an additional button to show just events with a certain Tag (ex. Food Trucks or Bands) or a specific event (ex. Music Festival)
  6. After you choose the Event Item (ex. All Events), add the name of the button in the Button Label field, then click 'Save'
    *You can name your Event button anything (ex. Events, Event Calendar, Upcoming Events, etc.)


  7. Now the button will be listed alphabetically in the Content Items list and you can add it to the Home Screen (house icon), Side Menu (three lines on top of each other), or both by clicking on the icon and making it green
