**If you would like to enable Events, please contact support@tapwyse.com and we'll be happy to turn it on for you.**
In the Customer Dashboard area of the App Manager you are able to create Events (individual and recurring) that you can then display under an Event button on the Home Screen or Side Menu of your app.
Where Do You Find Events?
From the main Quick Start screen click on Customer Dashboard
When you click Customer Dashboard it will open a new tab in your browser. You will now be able to toggle between your main Quick Start tab and your Customer Dashboard tab in your browser.
In your Customer Dashboard, click on Events (left-hand navigation bar)
Once you open the Events section of the Customer Dashboard you can create new events and edit existing events.
Creating a New Event
- Click Create in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. This will open the Create Events section where you will create your event.

- Add the Title of the Event, the Event Image, the Event Description, and the Start Time & End Time of the Event

- If the Event is a recurring event, turn on the Repeats toggle

- Next click on the Repeat dropdown

- Choose whether the Event repeats Weekly, Monthly, or on Specific Dates

- If the Event repeats Weekly - you will select the Day of the Week the event repeats on

This will create a 52 week series. You can adjust the Until (end date) if the event does not run a full year.
- If the Event repeats Monthly - select if the event repeats on a Specific Date or a Relative Date
Specific Date = the event is on the same date every month (ex. 15th)
Relative Date = an event that would fall on the first Wednesday of every month

If you choose Specific Date you will then enter the date the event is on every month in the Day of month field

If you choose Relative Date you will then add the Week & Day the event falls on (ex. Second Wednesday)

- If the Event repeats on Specific Dates choose the dates the event repeats on from the calendar provided

- Choose the Status of the event (Active, Draft, Archive) & when you want it to Publish Start (show) in the app (Date & Time), and when you want the event to Publish End (Date & Time)
(ex. An event that is going to last an entire weekend you can choose to have it Publish Start right away (same day and time you're creating the event) and it can Publish End the day and time the event will be over.)

*If you are ready to have the Event appear in the app, you want the Status to be Active.
- If you have more than one Location, you can enter the Location that the event is taking place in the Location field (ex. you have two taprooms - you can enter the taproom where the event is taking place or you have a separate Event Hall on your property where you hold certain events - you can add Event Hall as the Location).

The Location will show in the details of the Event in the app.

- You can add Tags to the Event so your app users can sort via a specific Tag(s) in the app (ex. Music, Food Truck, Bingo, Denver). You may add as many Tags as you would like to an event.

The events Tags will show right under the event Title in the app.

- You can add Links that will direct the app user to an external URL.
There are 3 options: 'More details link', 'Tickets link', Virtual event link'
More Details = you have additional information about the event on your website or another area of the web and you want to link your app users there so they can see the additional information. An example of this may be a large multi-brewery beer fest. You can have basic details in the app and then you can link to the beer fest web page so they can see all the breweries involved along with vendors, music, etc.
Tickets Link = you have a ticket for the event posted on Eventbrite, or another ticketing site, you can include the link to the ticket in the event in the app so the app user is directed to the ticket from the app.
Virtual Event Link = maybe your event is a virtual happy hour, you can include the link to the Google Meet, Teams Call, Zoom Meeting so they can join right from the event posted in the app.
Click 'Save' at the bottom of the screen once you are finished filling in all of the Events information.
