Updating/Modifying your Home Screen and Side Menu
This article will provide detail on how to update/modify the Home Screen and Side Menu of your app.
- From the Quick Start page of your App Manager, click Home Screen

- Click the Green (+) at the top-left of the

- Choose what type of button you are creating (Link To An App Page, Link To A URL, or Custom Folder)

- Link To An App Page - allows you to direct the button to a Page or News Item/Announcement you have created within the App Manager
- You create the Page or the Announcement (aka News) first and then create the button
- Link to a Page - make sure the App Page field is set to Pages, choose the Page from the Pages Item dropdown, add the name of the button in the Button Label field, click Save

- Link to an Announcement - make sure the App Page field is set to News, choose the News Item (aka Announcement) from the News Item dropdown, add the name of the button to the Button Label field, click Save

- Link To A URL - allows you to direct the user to a web-based URL
- Add the name of the button to the Button Label field, add the URL to the URL field, click Save

- Custom Folder - allows you to have a button the Home Screen with additional options under the main button (ex. Locations ➡️ Monument, Northgate, Lincoln Center)

- Add the name of the button to the Button Label field, click Save

- On the next page, click the green (+) to add your first option that will live under the main button

- The Add Item box will appear where you will choose whether this option is going to be linked to an App Page, External Link (aka URL), or another Custom Folder - you can add an image to this option. The image size is 1280 x 525 px.

- Once you choose what type of button the option is going to be (ex. App Page, URL, Custom Folder) you then fill in the appropriate info as outlined in the previous steps
- When you are finished with adding the information, click Save
- Repeat these steps to add multiple option by going back to the main button choice (ex. Locations), clicking the green (+) again, and adding another option
Now that the button as been created, you will add it to the Home Screen and/or Side Menu
- Find the button in the list of Content Items on the left-hand side of the page - this list is alphabetical

- Click the Home Screen icon (house) and/or Side Menu icon (3 horizontal lines) to add the button to the Home Screen and/or Side Menu

- Drag and drop the button to where you want it - you will order update each (Home Screen & Side Menu) individually

- Hover over the Button on the Side Menu and click the Delete icon

- Hover over the Button on the Home Screen and click the Delete icon

- Un-select the Home Screen and/or Side Menu icon(s) on the button under the Content Items list
