Download Rewards Promo

Encourage more app signups and reward first-time users with Download Rewards Promo.

Overview

Download Rewards Promo allows you to promote app download rewards directly to users before they create or log into an account.

This feature helps increase:

• App account creation

• Customer engagement

• Reward redemption

When enabled, customers will see a promotional message highlighting available download rewards before logging into the app.

How It Works

When a new customer installs and opens your app:

1. If the customer has never logged in on that device before, the Rewards Promo banner is displayed

2. The customer taps the banner and is taken directly to the Create Account page

3. After creating an account, the Download Reward is added to their account

The promo experience is designed specifically for first-time users and helps encourage account creation by clearly showing the value customers receive for signing up.

Once rewards are available on a customer account, the app also displays a reward badge on the Rewards button showing how many rewards the customer currently has available.

Requirements

Before using Download Rewards Promo, confirm the following:

• At least one Download Reward is already configured

Setting Up Download Rewards Promo

Step 1: Navigate to Download Rewards

1. Open the TapWyse Customer Dashboard

2. Navigate to Rewards 

3. Click the Download Rewards tab

4. Locate the Download Rewards Promo section

Step 2: Customize the Promo

TapWyse includes default values for:

• Promo image

• Promo title

• Promo description

You can customize all promo content to better match your brand and promotion strategy.

By default, the image uses the reward image attached to your download reward, but you can upload a custom image if desired.

Recommended best practices:

• Use clear reward-focused messaging

• Keep descriptions short and easy to understand

• Highlight the value customers receive for signing up

• Match the message to the reward being offered

Example:
“Download the app and create an account to unlock your welcome reward.”

Step 3: Save and Enable

1. Review your promo content

2. Save your changes

3. Confirm the feature is enabled

Once enabled, eligible users will begin seeing the promo automatically.

When the Promo Appears

The Download Rewards Promo will display only when all of the following conditions are met:

• The feature is enabled in the manager

• The user is not logged in

• The user has never logged into the app on that device before

• Active download rewards are currently available

If a user has previously logged into the app on their phone, the promo banner will no longer appear.

If any of these conditions are not met, the promo will not appear.

Does the promo appear for existing users?

No. Existing users who have already logged in will not see the promo.

Can I customize the promo image and text?

Yes. Clients can edit the promo image, title, and description from the Download Rewards page.

Why is the promo not appearing?

Verify the following:

• Download rewards are active

• The user has never logged in before

• The app version is 25.06 or higher

Can the promo be disabled?

Yes. The feature can be turned off from the manager once enabled.

Does the promo require download rewards to already exist?

Yes. The promo only appears when active download rewards are available.
