Creating A Punch Card

Creating A Punch Card

What Are Punch Cards?

You can create and use Punch Cards as a way to drive visits to your location resulting in revenue spent. Punch Cards are set up and used like a traditional paper Punch Card (ex. Visit us 9 times and get a Free Beer) and you can have multiple Punch Cards set up in the app at the same time, each encouraging specific action from your app users.

First Steps:

Prior to creating your first Punch Card you will need to add your employees and give each employee a code (usually the same code they use to log into the POS) so they can add punches to an app users Punch Card in their app.
  1. Click Loyalty on the Quick Start screen of the App Manager

  2. Click Employees in the upper right-hand corner of the screen

  3. Click Create A New Employee

  4. Add the employees name in the Name field, add the employees code in the Code field, then click Add Now

  5. Repeat Step 4 for each individual employee you need to add
  6. Once all of your employees are added you can create your first Punch Card

Creating a New Punch Card

  1. If this is the very first Punch Card you are creating you can click Create Campaign or New Campaign
*If this is not the first Punch Card you're creating you'll click New Campaign
  2. The New Campaign screen is where you will fill in all of the information for the Punch Card you are creating. Make sure have Punch Card chosen at the top of the screen
    1. Fill in the following information (refer to image above to see where these information fields are) :
      1. Title = the name of the Punch Card
      2. Description = what this punch card will be used for and the details (ex. Visit us 9 times and earn a Free Beer!)
      3. Image = you can choose a gradient that will display at the top of the Punch Card (under the Title) or you can add your own image.
If you choose to add your own image it should be a 3:1 ratio and it does not need to have text on it since the Title of the Punch Card is laid over the image.
      4. Active On = the date the Punch Card will become active (and be able to be seen in the app by your app users)
      5. End On = the last day the punch card can be used to get a punch by your app users. If the Punch Card is ongoing (does not have a specific end date) you do not need to add anything to this field.
      6. Number of Punches = the number of punches an app users needs to earn in order to complete the Punch Card and earn their reward
      7. Reward Expires On = this is the number of days the earned reward is good for OR you can choose that the reward expires on a certain date

        OR

      8. Click Create at the bottom of the screen

You can update the name of the Loyalty button to anything you want (ex. Punch Cards). The Loyalty button will appear in the Content Items list on the left of your Home Screen section of the App Manager. Simply click the Home Screen icon and/or the Side Menu icon to add it to the screen you'd like to see it on. Then move the button to where you'd like it to live on either screen. If you need help with how to achieve this, refer to our Updating/Modifying Your Home Screen and Side Menu article.

If this is not your first punch card
(you already have an active punch card in your app) the new punch card will appear under the current button you have active on your Home Screen and/or Side Menu.
