This number represents how many individuals received the push notification.
This number does NOT indicate how many people have your app downloaded to their phone at that moment. This is the number of users that have the app downloaded and have opted into push notifications.

Direct Responses

This number represents how many users tapped on the push notification as their phone received it.

Influenced Responses

This number represents how many users didn't immediately tap on the push notification, but were influenced to open the app within a couple of hours.
This number is determined by an algorithm within Urban Airship. Click HERE for more information.

How To Analyze Push Notification Analytics

Push Notifications are an essential part of an app's marketing strategy. As such, all three numbers provided by TapWyse's Admin Dashboard are of the utmost importance when identifying what does and does not work for an app's audience. Here are some questions to ask:

What day of the week works best for my app's audience?

Some apps get the best interaction on days in the middle of the week, while others find weekends are the best time to send out a message.

What's the best time to send out a push notification?

Most sites will advise to send push notifications in the morning and early-evening, but those are generalizations. Use each Push Notification as a test case to see which time is best for your audience.
Engagement is calculated as a combination of Direct and Influenced Responses.

What content works best for my audience?

Every course will have a different group of users, with different interests. To make the most of push notifications, send out some different types of messages and analyze the Engagement level of each. Here are some ideas to get you started:
  1. Upcoming Events
  2. Facility Openings & Closures
  3. Deals and Specials
  4. New Releases
  5. Membership
  6. Holiday Well Wishes (i.e., "Merry Christmas!")
  7. Brand Stories
