Thanks For Partnering With TapWyse!
We are excited to get to work on your new custom-branded mobile app. In order to submit it for you, we'll need you to complete a few simple steps to set up a developer account with Apple. Please read on for everything we need from you!
What's The Point?
In order to have an app live on their app store, Apple requires each business entity to enroll in their developer program to confirm they are legitimate. This process is your responsibility as the app owner and you are expected to complete the below steps before granting access to TapWyse, at which point we will handle the submission and periodic updates on your behalf.
Step 1: Create An Apple ID
Step 2: Locate Your D-U-N-S Number
What's A D-U-N-S Number?
The D-U-N-S Number is a unique nine-digit number that identifies business entities on a location-specific basis. Assigned and maintained by
Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), the D-U-N-S Number is widely used as a standard business identifier.
Steps To Complete
- Navigate to Apple's D-U-N-S lookup page.
- Use the Apple ID you set up in the previous step to sign in.
- Fill in the requested information and Submit.
- If your organization has a D-U-N-S number, confirm the information and click Continue. If not, mark the checkbox to allow Apple to send your info to D&B.
- When ready, your D-U-N-S number will be sent to the email associated with your Apple ID. At this point, please proceed to Step3.
Step 3: Enroll In The Apple Developer Program
Now that you have all of your information prepared, it's time to submit your application to Apple's Developer Program. Follow the below steps:
- Click here and scroll to the bottom of the page to Start Your Enrollment.
- The system will suggest using the Apple Developer App to enroll. We do recommend the app, but you can still enroll online if you do not have access to an iOS device.
- Follow the steps to complete the enrollment process. Please take note of the following fields:
- Entity Type: Choose Company/Organization.
- WARNING: Please do not sign up as an individual as Apple will not allow us to submit your app on your behalf.
- Legal Entity Name & D-U-N-S Number: Enter these exactly as they appeared in the email received as a result of step 2 of this article.
- If you receive a message stating Your organization is not listed as a legal entity, your legal status is still to be verified. Click Update Your D&B Profile and follow the on-screen steps to verify your application. You will receive an email from D&B with the exact wait-time for processing.
- Authority To Sign Legal Agreements: Select either:
- I am the owner/founder and have the authority to bind my organization to legal agreements.
- My organization has given me the authority to bind it to legal agreements.
- Work Email: Please note this needs to be a domain from your business and NOT a generic one (@gmail.com, @hotmail.com, etc.)
Step 4: Last Steps
Once enrollment has been processed, two things will happen:
- An Apple representative will call you at the number you provided during enrollment to confirm you're a real person. Make sure to answer it!
- If you missed this call, click here for instructions to schedule one.
- Apple will email you a confirmation that enrollment has been processed.
Almost there! Complete the next two sections and you're all done.
